Wisconsin Adopts the Legacy Uniform Bar Exam

On March 24, 2026, the Wisconsin Supreme Court released an order stating that Wisconsin will administer the legacy Uniform Bar Examination and accept transferred legacy UBE scores of 260 or higher beginning with the July 2026 bar administration.[1]

The national mean scaled score for the November 2025 MPRE was 96.7, 1.1 points higher than the November 2024 mean of 95.6. The November 2025 mean reflects the performance of 20,606 examinees, 870 more than the November 2024 examinee count of 19,736.

The national mean scaled score for the August 2025 MPRE was 96.3, approximately 0.7 points lower than the August 2024 mean of 97.0. The August 2025 mean reflects the performance of 20,109 examinees, 2,015 more than the August 2024 examinee count of 18,094.

NCBE Announces National Mean for July 2025 MBE

The National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE) announced today that the national mean scaled score for the July 2025 Multistate Bar Examination (MBE) was 142.4, an increase of about 0.6 points compared to the July 2024 mean of 141.8, and the highest July MBE mean since 2013 excluding the summer and fall 2020 administrations.
