Official Bar Exam Score Transcripts
Examinees who take the bar exam in a jurisdiction that has adopted the legacy Uniform Bar Examination (UBE) or the NextGen Uniform Bar Examination (NextGen UBE) earn portable scores that can be used to seek admission in other UBE or NextGen UBE jurisdictions. Examinees who take a bar exam that includes the MBE may be able to transfer their MBE score to another jurisdiction. Examinees are strongly advised to consult the jurisdiction directly for the most accurate and current information about applying for admission on the basis of a score earned in another jurisdiction.
NCBE automatically reports your legacy UBE, NextGen UBE, or MBE score to the jurisdiction in which you took the exam. To have your score sent to a jurisdiction other than the one in which you took the exam, request an Official Bar Exam Score Transcript. The transcript will include a full history of your legacy UBE and/or NextGen UBE scores, as well as MBE scores earned during the last seven years when authorized by the testing jurisdiction.
To request an Official Bar Exam Score Transcript, log in to your NCBE Account or create an NCBE Account if you do not have one, go to the Score Services page, and select Request Bar Exam Score Service.
Official Bar Exam Score Transcripts are sent directly to jurisdictions, not to examinees. If you would like to review your scores, view your Unofficial NCBE Exam History on the Score Services page of your NCBE Account.
Fee
A $30 fee is required for each Official Bar Exam Score Transcript. The fee may be paid online by credit card (MasterCard or Visa only).
Payment by check must be mailed to NCBE with a printout of the confirmation page at the end of the score transcript request form and may significantly delay the processing of your request. No score services will be performed until credit card information is processed or until a check is received with a printout of the confirmation page.
Refunds will not be provided for any reason. It is your responsibility to read these instructions carefully before requesting any score services and to verify that you have provided the correct information in the request.
Time Frame
Ordinarily, requests are processed the next business day after receipt of payment. Scores will not appear on transcripts until after the testing jurisdiction has announced its examination results and authorized release of the examinee's scores.
