Legacy Bar Exam Study Aids are Moving to a New Platform

NCBE study aids for the legacy bar exam are moving from BarNow to a new platform on July 31, 2026.

The NCBE BarNow platform will be sunset by July 31, 2026. All legacy study aids that you purchased on BarNow will remain available through the July bar exam. 

If you purchased MBE, MEE, or MPT study aids through BarNow and expect to continue studying after July 31, use this form to request continued access.

Who Should Use This Form

Use this form if all of the following apply to you: 

  • You purchased MBE, MEE, or MPT study aids through BarNow  
  • Your one-year BarNow purchase will still be active on July 31, 2026  
  • You want continued access to corresponding study aids after the BarNow platform closes  

What’s Changing 

Beginning August 1, 2026, legacy bar exam study aids will be offered differently: 

  • MBE study aids will be delivered on a new platform  
  • MEE and MPT study aids will be delivered in PDF format only  
  • Packages combining all MBE, MEE, and MPT study aids will no longer be sold  

Your current BarNow study aid data, including saved answers and performance history, will not transfer to the new platform and will no longer be available after July 31, 2026. 

What You May Be Eligible to Receive 

If your original BarNow purchase has not expired by July 31, 2026, you may be eligible for: 

  • One year of complimentary access to corresponding study materials  
  • MBE study aids delivered on the new platform  
  • MEE and MPT study aids delivered in PDF format  

Please note: 

  • Eligibility is based on NCBE’s verification of your original purchase  
  • One year of access is the only extended-access option available, regardless of how much time remains on your original purchase  
  • Requests will be reviewed and approved as they are received
  • The deadline to request continued access is November 30, 2026  

What You Should Do Before July 31 

Before BarNow access ends, we strongly encourage you to: 

  • Complete any unfinished practice or review  
  • Download or save any materials you want to keep  
  • Submit this form if you believe you will need continued access after July 31  

How the Request Process Works 

Step 1: Complete and submit this form before the transition deadline. 

Step 2: NCBE will review your request and confirm whether your original purchase is eligible. 

Step 3: If eligible, your replacement access will be provided after July 31, 2026. 

Important Dates 

July 31, 2026: BarNow access ends for legacy bar exam study aids. 

August 1, 2026: Legacy study aids fully available in their new formats. 

November 30, 2026: Deadline to submit this form requesting continued access.
