MBE Score Services FAQs

How do I request score services from NCBE?

You must have an NCBE Number to request NCBE Score Services. If you do not know whether or not you have an NCBE Number, use the NCBE Number Lookup before proceeding.

  1. Log in to your NCBE Number Account.
  2. Click on the “Score Services” tab along the top of the page.
  3. Read through the corresponding page prior to beginning the request form, and click on the appropriate link for an MBE, UBE, or MPRE Score Services request.
  4. Click “Begin Request Form.”
  5. Complete all required fields on the first page, and verify the information that is already completed. If you do not know the month and year you took the exam, email score.services@ncbex.org and provide your NCBE Number.
  6. On the next page, select a jurisdiction from the drop-down if you would like your score report sent to a jurisdiction or check the appropriate box if you would like a replacement copy of your score.
  7. Verify your score services on the following page and submit payment. You may pay by credit card or check. Paying by check will delay the processing of your request.
  8. When your payment information is complete, click “Checkout.” You will receive a confirming email when your request is submitted and another one when your request has been processed.

How can I request MBE score services if I did not have an NCBE Number when I sat for the exam?

If you did not have an NCBE Number when you sat for the exam, create an account to request score services. We will locate your score using other pieces of biographic information. You must have provided sufficient biographic information on your answer sheet at the time you tested. NCBE may refuse to provide score services if your scores cannot be identified with confidence.

How are MBE concurrent score transfers handled?

With proper scheduling and approval by the jurisdictions involved, an examinee may be permitted to take the bar examination in two jurisdictions over a period of three days. One of the two jurisdictions must administer its local examination on Tuesday and the other must administer its local examination on Thursday. The examinee will take the local examination in the first jurisdiction on Tuesday, the MBE in either jurisdiction on Wednesday, and the local examination in the second jurisdiction on Thursday. Arrangements to use the MBE score in conjunction with two concurrent bar examinations must be made through the jurisdictions that allow concurrent use of scores. It is the examinee’s responsibility to verify that his or her MBE score will be available by the receiving jurisdiction’s deadline.
