Test Accommodations Coordinator
The National Conference of Bar Examiners, a national non-profit organization headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin, is seeking a Test Accommodations Coordinator.
The Test Accommodations Coordinator is responsible for supporting all aspects of the accommodations review process for accommodated testing on the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE). Requests for accommodations are submitted by candidates with physical or mental impairments including, but not limited to, learning disorders, attention disorders, visual impairments, physical impairments, and neurological disorders. Duties include: processing new accommodation requests (data entry), filing, accommodation request review and decision making, phone and email communication with applicants, and coordination with a team of independent consultants. Attendance at meetings and educational seminars related to testing candidates with disabilities may be required.
The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act and the subject matter of testing candidates with disabilities. A bachelor’s degree is required. Training and/or experience in high-stakes testing, professional certification, special education, psychology, or a related field is preferred (including familiarity with instruments designed to measure the scope, effect, and extent of an individual’s functional limitations). Strong oral and written communications skills are required, as well as a high level of organizational and time management skills.
