Research Associate

The National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE), a nonprofit organization, is seeking a professional with administrative experience to support the Director of Testing and Testing/Research Department staff. Job tasks will include proofreading and formatting documents, taking notes, drafting progress reports, providing administrative support including maintaining schedules/travel arrangements, and contributing to ongoing research as time and interest allow. Proven organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, editing proficiency, and initiative are a must.

A successful candidate will have experience in proofreading and compiling information for complex documents for both internal and external distribution. He or she will be able to critically analyze information, pay close attention to detail, create and/or review reports, and perform research activities with supervision. This position requires exceptional computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word and PowerPoint) and the ability to manage data in Microsoft Excel.   A significant part of the work includes using customized applications related to test production and development. A statistics or math background is preferred but not required. A bachelor’s degree is required. Some travel may be involved depending on the interests and availability of the applicant.
