MPRE Admission Tickets and Test Centers
In August 2019, NCBE, in partnership with Pearson VUE, will begin to transition the MPRE from a paper-based to a computer-based delivery platform. There will be no changes to the question format, content, or scoring of the MPRE.
For the August 2019 and November 2019 administrations, a limited number of examinees will be selected at random during the registration process to take the computer-based exam at a Pearson VUE testing center; all other examinees will take the paper-based exam at a testing center administered by the Law School Admission Council (LSAC).
You should review and print your Admission Ticket and the Registrant Test Day Summary and Checklist as soon as you receive email notification from LSAC that these documents are available online in your MPRE Account. You should take only page 1 of the Admission Ticket to the test center on test day. The reporting time is usually 8:30 a.m., but you are advised to check the specific reporting time listed on your Admission Ticket.
The Admission Ticket will include your test date and assigned test center, and a Photo Identification section, which must be completed. You must attach a recent passport-type photograph (taken within the last six months and showing only the face and shoulders) to your Admission Ticket. The photograph must be no larger than 2x2 inches (5x5 cm) and no smaller than 1x1 inches (3x3 cm). Digital photographs printed on photo paper will be accepted.
It is your responsibility to contact LSAC at 215-504-3886 or at MPREinfo@LSAC.org if your Admission Ticket is not available online within two weeks of the examination. (Do not contact NCBE about your Admission Ticket.)
Test Center Assignments
Available test centers will be listed once you begin the registration process in your MPRE Account. LSAC handles all test center assignments. Please contact LSAC at 215-504-3886 or at MPREinfo@LSAC.org for information or questions regarding test center assignments. (Do not contact NCBE about your test center assignment.)
The MPRE is administered in over 300 test center locations. Test center choices cannot be guaranteed, and travel may be required.
Occasionally, it is necessary for LSAC to reassign applicants to another test center after Admission Tickets have been issued. In this case, LSAC will notify the applicants by email and post new Admission Tickets to their MPRE Accounts.
