NCBE Character and Fitness Application

The NCBE Character and Fitness Application can be completed online. Not all jurisdictions use the NCBE Character and Fitness Application. Before starting the application, please check with the jurisdiction to which you are applying to see if it accepts this application. COMPLETING AND SUBMITTING THIS APPLICATION TO NCBE DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A COMPLETION OF THE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR ADMISSION TO THE BAR.

Electronic Application Instructions

You MUST create a new account for EVERY application you submit, whether it is a supplemental application to the same jurisdiction or a new application to a different jurisdiction.

If you are submitting a new application and transferring data from a previous (finalized) application, follow the steps below. NOTE: You are not able to transfer data to or from a Michigan (Admission by Exam), Missouri, or North Carolina application.

1. Create a new account by clicking on the Create Account link on the right side of this page. You will be required to choose a jurisdiction associated with this new account.

2. Click on Transfer Data from Another Application. You must transfer data before you click the Begin Online Application link. Once you begin the application, you are no longer able to transfer data.

3. You will then be prompted to log in to a previous account that contains the data you want to transfer.
